CTC Global at NASEO’s Annual Meeting – CTC Global participated as a sponsor and exhibitor at the annual meeting of the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO).
The theme at this year’s sessions was “Energy Intersections and Innovations.” The meeting, held at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit, Michigan, included interactive sessions and discussion on transportation electrification, building-grid integration, and financing for energy innovation and infrastructure.
CTC Global’s Dave Townley had the opportunity to discuss with a number of state energy officials the utility infrastructure energy efficiency policy efforts currently underway in the Minnesota Energy Office.
The year-long process is looking at the potential for energy and carbon savings harvested from an energy policy to increase the efficiency of the transmission and distribution system (also the generation system).
The “potentials” report is expected to be released by the Minnesota Energy Office in the next few weeks. Several state energy officers have expressed interest in following (and possibly emulating) the Minnesota infrastructure energy efficiency policy efforts.
