Milestone Project Completed in Montenegro

With installation support from Electro Team Budva, Montenegro, CEDIS‐Crnogorski Elektrodistributivni Sistem d.o.o. Podgorica, completed their first ACCC® Conductor installation in Montenegro. Collaborating closely with CTC Global (USA), local distributor Elektro Merkur (Rijeka, Croatia) and ACCC Conductor manufacturer Lamifil (Belgium) a new single layer conductor design was installed over Lake Skadar near the small city of Vranjina, Montenegro.

The 1.3 km 35 kV reconductor project was completed on existing structures without modifications. The primary span was 940 meters. Dead-ends and splices were provided by PLP Belos (Poland) and AGS suspension clamps and other fittings were provided by Proizvodnja OSO (Croatia). CTC Global’s master installer, Christopher Morrison was on site to provide support. Zeck reel stands, tensioners, pullers, socks and sheave wheels were used along with a Klauke compression press.

12 aircraft warning markers and 12 warning lights were also installed on the new conductor. Lake Skadar lies on the border of Albania and Montenegro, and is the largest lake in Southern Europe.
