A line upgrade is often the key to increased revenues, because you can move—and sell—more of the power that your generators are producing. Our ACCC^® conductor makes many retrofit projects quite profitable that would not even be economically viable otherwise.

The key is this: The ACCC^® conductor can carry twice the power with no diameter, weight or thermal sag penalty. That means you can double your load capacity without having to reinforce or raise your towers.  With the cost of expensive tower upgrades taken out of the equation, a retrofit can enable you to profitably deliver more power to your growing markets, thus squeezing the maximum economic benefit from your transmission assets.

The improved capacity and efficiency of the ACCC^® conductor also reduces congestion costs.  This makes it feasible to import lower-cost electricity from more distant sources when you’d rather not be making heavy investments in local power generators.
